5.0 out of 5 stars Should be read by all divorcing parents! 30 Aug. 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Thoroughly enjoyed this book but what a sad story of how parents mess up their own lives and their children's at the same time.

I won't give away too much of the story but our heroine is left a run down cafe by her bitter mother who had constantly put her down in life and is still sitting on her shoulder as a harbinger of doom even in death.

Her Father, also brow beaten by his former wife, is little or no use in the support stakes. Constantly still whinging about how bad his life had been instead of looking forward and helping his daughter.

Cheer with her as she finally manages to put the past to rest and make a success of her own life.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant book 14 Aug. 2012

This is such a good story. The characters are great it makes you laugh it brings a tear to your eye and the bad characters are very satisfactorily dealt with. It has so much more to it than the product description portrays, I would highly recommend this book it is worth every penny.

3.0 out of 5 stars Romance with a couple twists 7 Feb. 2014

Predictable from the start. Story was ok, a bit drawn out and it could have been a little more exciting.

3.0 out of 5 stars A filler if you have nothing else to read. 9 Dec. 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book is predictable, very easy to read and has the happy ending you would expect. A young woman is left a crumbling cafe by a woman she thought was her mother. She attempts to rebuild the cafe and her life and struggles until the her hero comes along and helps her. There are a few happenings in the book which you haven't planned for (the near rape of the protagonist being one - which I might add was very well written)but aside from the odd little surprise this book won't have you on the edge of your seat.
Its a sweet story where the young woman is swept away by a millionaire, that keeps you reading along but is easily put down if something more interesting comes along at the time.
Sweet, romantic, readable... ultimately a book to pass the time with.
