What do you get when you mix violin music with an egyptian twist with heavy guitar music? A soundtrack to queen of the Damned of course. After seeing the Queen of the Damned movie I fell in love with the poignant, atmospheric music. The double Violin played by Shankar makes the bases of all the music and emotions in the film. Its both disturbing and achingly beautiful. If your a fan of any of the Kerrang albums but like a bit of an unusual twist or you just like good music, you must buy the score and the soundtrack, niether of these cds have been out my cd player in months. Theres not a duffer in the lot, guaranteed.

On first hearing the music smapled in the Queen of the Damned movie, I was taken with it's ability to provoke a wide range of emotions - whether it be fear, joy or sorrow. I knew while watching the movie I wanted more.
The Album is a perfect example of how music can make you feel. It's haunting, evocative and spine tinglingly memorable. The violin providing a beautiful foundation on which most of the album is built. It's decadent and almost gothic. Sometimes delicate and passionate, sometimes joyous and exhilarating, very frequently eerie and mysterious, and always unforgettable.

Two of the reviews here give the suggestion that this title is the rock soundtrack as partly composed by Jonathan from Korn. It is not. This is the CD of the incidental music from the film. However, do not write it off. It is still a thing of dark beauty and makes worthy listening on it's own. Sensual and evokative, this is the sort of music to drink red wine to by candlelight. A little on the short side but essential for fans of the music of Queen of the Damned.

I just had to buy this after watching the film again and was not dissapointed.
Some really haunting melodies that sent a few shivers down my spine. I find that I cannot remove one particular track from my head "FORSAKEN". Love it!!
Good Film and great soundtrack. Definately one for the CD Library, especially if you are a Hard Rock/Metal lover, or just like cool hard music with some thought provoking lyrics.

This is not the soundtrack with music from the film. The soundtrack should contain metal and rock not background sound effects. Very disappointed with Amazon, selling rubbish for £6.90. Shame on you!
