5.0 out of 5 stars Best craft book 7 Nov 2011
Format:Hardcover
Though this book is definitely not meant for my age group (late fifties) I absolutely loved it and have made several of the projects. The knitted head bands are easy enough even for a complete beginner like me.
It's written in a very engaging style and is altogether adorable.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great, modern book! 31 Oct 2011
Format:Hardcover
I've always loved cooking and doing various crafts, but was beginning to get a little bored - so when I saw this "Modern" book I thought I would give it a try. It has new methods and techniques which are great to try and I would highly recommend this book to anyone; whether they were experienced in crafts or just starting out.

2.0 out of 5 stars disappointing 10 Dec 2011
By anne
Format:Hardcover
I bought this as a Christmas present for my niece. It looked as if it would appeal to a student with an interest in art, craft and fashion. Really disappointed in the lack of interesting project ideas. Lots of information on basic techniques which would suit a complete novice, but 30 pages on how to knit with only instructions for scarves, bows, or knitted squares did not inspire. Patchwork items were equally boring, I know retro is in but the items didn't appear to have moved on. Sorry but could not recommend to the age group it seems to be aimed at. I think it tries to cover too much in one book.
