Touched me 18 Sep 2007
This book is a sad but interesting tale of a young woman's journey that most of us will never make. From her young years on the Ivory coast to the transformation into a woman in London.
I brought this book to gain an insight, as my girlfriend comes from Africa and is now trying to settle in the UK. I couldn't put it down and it has helped me understand the struggles that a lot of people have to go through to survive, and to better there lives.
I recommend it.
Thank you Annabel.

Rarely do you read such an honest, open and forthright story as Queen.
The writer takes us on an amazing journey from the main character's formative years spent on the Ivory Coast to discovering London's Soho and it's clubs.
I found it a refreshing and insightful window into a world many of us are unlikely to encounter.
I recommend this book to many people.
Well done Annabel James!

I couldn't put this book down! I couldn't wait to turn the page and find out what happened to the beautiful Queen next. This book tells the fascinating story of one girl's journey from her Ivorian roots to a new life in London. We are given a glimpse into the traditions and culture of the Ivory Coast, it's people and the beautiful landscape. We then follow Queen as she realises her dream of moving to London and all that the city has to offer. But I'm not going to spoil it for you all, you'll have to read it yourself to find out what happens to her! I highly recommend this book and can't wait to see what more Annabel James has to offer.
