Cynthia Larson's book talks about Parallel Universes and how we can move our conscious awareness from one reality to another where our dreams and desires exist. Because there are infinite numbers of Universes containing an infinite number of variables and possibilities then all ones dreams and desires are actually happening in other versions of reality therefore all ones dreams are possible. Mystics from centuries ago spoke about multiple worlds and although this may sound like a far fetched fantasy which belongs in Star Trek, Quantum Physics is now providing evidence to back these claims.

Ms. Larson's book explains the physics in laymans terms which are easy to understand for those who need scientific proof but the majority of the book is spiritual and deals with how one can achieve quantum jumping to where one wants to be in life. It is beautifully written and optimistic.

We have entered a new age with a new way of thinking. Things we thought of 50 years ago as being impossible are today accepted as fact. Everything in life evolves. We all have choices so if you don't believe in the concept of Quantum Jumping then you won't see it, such is the nature of reality. But if you have an open mind I highly recommend this book while continuing on your spiritual journey of discovery.

I wear a mask to bed because the darkness helps me sleep.

That’s not entirely true.

I have always been afraid of the dark because as long as I can remember I have seen people in my bedroom that aren’t real. Not every night; just enough to scare the living hell out of me.

It started when I was a child, continued through my adulthood, and I later learned (through my Mum) that a man and his dog would watch me from the end of my bed when I was a toddler.

I have many strange tales to tell, but the strangest one of all happened when I was aged 8 or 9 during a sleepover at my Grandmothers.

I was sleeping in my Uncle Ian’s bedroom and I remember being scared because posters of Kiss and David Bowie adorned his walls. It seems stupid now but back then a fully painted Gene Simmons, and Ziggy Stardust, was no different than a crazed clown.

One night I woke up, looked to the left hand side of my bed, and there sitting on a chair next to me was my uncle Ian; quite remarkable considering he wasn’t even at home that night.

I closed my eyes, hid underneath the blankets and stayed there until I fell asleep. When you see a dead person, or an apparition of a stranger, you can explain it through the medium of ghosts.

My Uncle Ian is still alive, and well, to this day.

It has always perplexed me…until now.

Cynthia Sue Larson is the author of Quantum Jumps: An Extraordinary Science of Happiness and Prosperity. If she were to read this then she would not be perplexed. Instead, she would say there is a perfectly rational explanation – I made a quantum jump.

A quantum jump is a leap from one state of being to another, and she has gotten me asking the same question time and time again.

Format: Paperback
Quantum Jumps: an extraordinary science of happiness and prosperity, by Cynthia Sue Larson, 2013, 286 ff.

The opening paragraph of Larson's book presents us with a profound truism - one that an increasing number of people are embracing but also one that so many people either ignore or are too apprehensive to acknowledge: `A new Quantum Age is upon us . . . In this new Quantum Age, our experience of reality is transformed when we acknowledge that we are all connected - and that at any given moment, there exists an infinite number of possibilities'.
There is in science an idea that there might exist `many worlds' - a whole galaxy of universes. I have long believed that these `many worlds' are virtual, that is, they consist of the realm of all the possibilities of thoughts and actions that humankind had available to them though human history - a kind of cosmic akashic field or, to put it another way, an assemblage in fact of `quantum jumps'. This is the author's message here. At the outset Cynthia, who has a degree in physics from the University of California at Berkeley, describes a similar picture using two of the fundamental principles of quantum physics - potentiality and interconnection.
The opening chapters of the book explain in completely non-technical language the relevance and application of these ideas from quantum physics in our everyday lives - we don't have to be quantum physicists or working in a laboratory to see and feel these ideas in practice. Technical ideas like coherence, tunnelling, entanglement and superposition are all explained with their everyday relevance to us. We can begin to improve our health instantaneously by focussing our minds - what medics describe as the placebo effect.
