This review is from: Quantrill's War (Hardcover)
A mistake prone example of a author that is more interested on making money than relaying the facts. Intent to capitalize on the recent movie, " The devil knows how to ride", this author and others are most representitive of today's fact gathering and research, NONE. First Lane was not a Senetor from Missouri, it's Kansas. And the Confederacy did not condon Quantrill methods of warfare. He was refused a commission in the Confederate Army and went back to Missouri to prove his worthiness. After the raid on Lawrence he stated " now Richmond (the capitol of the Confederacy) will reconize me".
