After a while the laptop stopped recognising the mouse, meaning had to be removed and plugged in again, and eventually stopped working, havnt had problem with other devices so not usb port.

I just may buy a spare one. Nearly forgot to say that it is compatible with my new HP Windows 7 computer; lots of stuff is not.
