5.0 out of 5 stars Ska-punk at its best 26 Mar 2003
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
This is simply the best ska-punk album I have ever heard. It blows bands like Reel Big Fish and Less Than Jake right out of the water. With an awesome blend of punk rock, ska, jazz, reggae and even some folk music in the form of 'Crew Cut Chuck' this is a masterpiece from start to finish. Songs like Goleta and Cup O' Tea will make you skank your pants off while slower melodies such as Sad Reggie and The Bell Tower will have you bobbing your head to the chilled out rhythm. I personally think that this is far better than their 2 most recent albums (Rock The Plank and Just One More) and just a tad better than their 2nd album Duck & Cover (which is also, might I add, very very good). I recommend this to any ska/punk/ska-punk fan or anyone who is looking for a good band to get them into the ska scene.

4.0 out of 5 stars Jazz time baby! 8 Jan 2001
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
I know the artists themselves aren't too keen on this, but I personally reckons this is well up there with Duck and Cover. There are a few too many Green Day bits in there for my liking, but Chuck's voice with the jazzy brass accompaniments are just pure genius and it's one of those albums which shares the nature with Chili Pepper's One Hot Minute, which is once ypu've pressed play it's impossible to press stop!I'm not all that fussed on a lot of the American New Wave stuff, but this is nu-ska at its best without doubt. I saw them live ........ they can't half play their instruments! Nice one, my bonafide snack bro's which I think is what Chuck called me an my mates. Hmmm parp parp toot toot

Format:Audio CD
whether you like ska-punk or not, this is a fantastic album. Any open-minded music lover should buy this. It combines ska, punk, reggae and jazz, and creates something really special.
most importantly it puts you in a good mood wherever and whenever you listen to it.
Its a gem worth double the money and every member of the band deserves a knighthood. oh and "Goleta" will make you skank till you drop!!!!
