I have seen other heated mittens in the 100 pounds sterling range subsequent to buying these, so it is perhaps unreasonable to expect a really perfect product at this price. The mittens themselves seem well-made and the sizing was fine for us, but I'm not sure whether the heating side is as good as it should be. Batteries are not supplied, and at 4 AA batteries per mitten are rather costly to install. We used normal (NiCad) Duracell batteries, which seemed all right at first but after about 2 hours the heating appeared not to be working. Thinking about it, perhaps this type of battery is not really suitable (one example of the more expensive ones includes Lithium batteries, which have more power and are probably rechargeable). I replaced the set and checked the rather flimsy wiring (presumably the makers need to keep the weight down), but the wearer of these gloves has told me that although they are comfortable and reasonably snug, the heating effect itself does not seem to be working again. I may have a faulty sample, but it may be that you get what you pay for. I certainly could not recommend this product, but perhaps my expectations were unrealistic at the price. It would be interesting to see other reviews.
