Am delighted with this purchase which is just as well as I bought 2, one for my mum and the other for myself! I love that all the hooks are aluminimum, are super smooth and feel so nice to crochet with! Also its so easy to read the sizing of the hooks not like on the grey hooks. Even the larger hooks are made from aluminium which I love as I am in the middle of a project that is using a larger hook and it has been the bog standard plastic one! I changed hooks to one of these last night and it was so much nicer to crochet with! My mum is also delighted with hers as there is agood range of different sizes for all proects! Would highly recommend!

I'm new to crochet. I wouldn't have normally picked up the hobby, but I know a lot of girls that love knitting and crochet so I got pulled into it. I'm careful about who I admit it to, but I love it. You can crochet about anywhere and when you're done you have a hand made present for someone that they will without a doubt enjoy. They'll feel even better about the gift when you mention that you made it. How many guys can crochet a girl a nice hat for the winter? I've joined the few and the proud.
As a new crocheter I found this set of hooks very helpful. They have varied sizes to suit any situation and their functionality is very high. It's also easy to read the lengths of the hooks since they are placed very visibly in the middle of the hook.
I wouldn't have cared if every hook was black or grey or something, I care about functionality. The different colors in this set, though, do keep the mind entertained. It's also even easier to tell which hook your using if the know the colors, so I guess some functionality is included with the multi-colored hooks.
The aluminum of the crochet hooks made them very smooth to the touch and I enjoyed working with them. Sure I could work with a wood hook if I needed to, but sometimes comfort is nice. When I sit down and spend an hour or two on a sock, scarf, or hat It's nice not to have to deal with hard hooks or splinters.
The differing lengths which are 2mm, 2.5mm, 3mm, 3.5mm, 4mm, 4.5mm, 5, 5.5, 6mm, 6.5mm, 7mm and 8mm (just in case you missed that, I know I sometimes skim over some of the details) provide a great range that can be used on many different projects. As a novice I haven't touched some of the hooks for more than just experimentation, but it's good to know that the hooks will be there for me when I move up to making a blanket or a sweater.
The ten dollar price tag is an offer that gives you great value. These hooks seem very durable and I know I'll be using them for many projects to come. Even if I stop crocheting I can give them to someone who does and they will still be in great condition. Twelve hooks for ten dollars makes each hook less than a dollar.

You can even purchase it with the click of a button if you have an account already, but you probably already knew that. These hooks are great. The colours are lovely and the aluminium feels better to crochet with than the plastic ones I have previously used for 5.5mm and above.
