Before you buy this look at the hidden extra sugar compared to the normal oat so simple original, and weep. Such a good idea all they need to do is take out the extra sugar and put it in a sachet so people can make up their own minds instead of thinking they are having a quick healthy snack. Very disappointed.
I'm not a sugar hater, just not allowed to eat it and I nearly got caught out by this misleading product.

I love porridge but this was horrible - had the texture of lumpy wallpaper paste and the taste of, well, lumpy wallpaper paste. (Plus I agree about the sugar content - really surprisingly high)

Yuck!

Well look. If you want good, old fashioned, unadulterated porridge, made from scratch, you can buy porridge oats by the box (or a sachet), add milk, sugar and salt(!) to taste and cook it up in a saucepan or nuke it in a cereal bowl. On the other hand, if you're away from hearth and home, have access to no more than a kettle and a spoon and you NEED a convenient porridge fix, this stuff serves.Added sugar, added milk powder, all you need is boiling water. I myself like to add a pinch of salt because it brings out the flavour of the oats.

The end result is a fairly convincing serving (a SMALL serving) of your favourite breakfast cereal. Perhaps it's not quite the right texture and getting it clot free (I apologise for the imagery there) is a bit hit and miss, but you can't have everything. I like to take a couple of these away with me when I'm staying in a hotel and don't want to pay the silly prices they try to charge for their "breakfast" (curly bacon, scabby baked beans and a crispy, hard-fried egg).

I've tried quite a few different porridge pots but can honestly say that this is the best for me taste wise. So easy and quick and no washing up. They're great!

Its tasty, wholesome and a good breakfast - plus there is no need to wash up: what more could one need? Good value!

When you first open this it looks like thick dust, if only it made a thick porridge. Not as good as Grasshopper!
