5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to learn for beginners 22 Dec 2002
By A Customer
I am a executive working in the IT industry and over the last few years I suffered from back pain problem. My friend in Germany recommended this book to me because he has taken Master Bai Yin's class before and benefited a lot from the two day weekend course. I am now practicing twenty minutes a day and my back pain problem is completly cured. This is a great book for beginners because it is very easy to follow the guidelines.

5.0 out of 5 stars Qigong Energy Healing 7 Nov 2008
By Tami Brady TOP 500 REVIEWER
Qigong Energy Healing is multifaceted program based upon the five elements (fire, earth, metal, water, and wood). The premise is simple, when all of the elements of the body are in balance then the body remains healthy. However, when deficiencies, excesses, or obstructions of the normal flow of Qi occur, the body becomes prone to illness.

According to Qigong Energy Healing, there are a number of different ways that an individual can determine which element or elements need to be rebalanced. These include facial and physical characteristics, changes in voice, personality traits, susceptibility to disease, and diagnosis by looking at certain parts of the hands or fingers. Once the suspect element has been determined, then the program uses diet, special qigong exercises, sound, mudras, and timing to return the flow of Qi to normal.

I was actually surprised at how easy my problem element was to locate. I like that the program gives me several options to work with but that these five different strategies also worked very well together.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book for a busy lifestyle 22 Dec 2002
By uniforce_2000@yahoo. - Published on Amazon.com
I was very depressed over the past two years and didn't know what to do. Also, my weight problem went over the roof, I went from 109 lbs to over 140 lbs in half year. I bought this book because a friend of mine has taken Master Bai Yin's class in Germnany before and she recommended that I gave it a try. I followed the book and practiced for three months, and now my weight dropped down to 114 lbs and I feel great about myself. I didn't know anything about Natrual healing therapy before and didn't believe in it either, but this time I have to say that it really works. The great thing about this exercise is that it doesn't take much of your time. I usually practice 5 to 10 minutes a day, and feel all energetic afterwards. So I recommend that this is a great book for anyone with a busy lifestyle.

2.0 out of 5 stars Good Theory, but not a practise book 27 July 2012

This is a well written and concise booklet. Learned a lot of the practical theory behind the 5 Elements Chi Kung. The only problem is that there is only 5 or so small pictures of the actual practice session for each of the 5 Element forms so as an instruction guide its next to useless. This book is not for the user, whether beginner or advanced. There is no dvd media which is essential if you are serious about these sets of forms. There is a website in Taiwan which alludes to available media but no links to it. Courses are offered in Taiwan which is impractical for most people. So, I don't rate it that much considering there are lots of other decent media out there for these forms
