Chicago trio Dianogah have been making music with the non-traditional setup of two bass players and a drummer for quitesome time, but on QHNNNL, they've brought in some ringers to beef up their intricate, locked-in sound. In addition to adistortion pedal, the band welcomes Andrew Bird for some violin action and Stephanie Morris to provide vocals. They're as tightly connected as ever, with the three rhythm instruments working as one to create hypnotic grooves, but the trio has a few more angles of attack now, which makes them all the more potent.
