‘Q – A Thriller’ A Love Story in Hell

How far would you go to rescue your lover? Would you go to hell on earth? Ex-soldier Felix Chapman embarks on an audacious attempt to rescue his wife after her abduction in a vicious modern day piracy attack off West Africa. She is lost in a brutal anarchic country ruled by warring tribes. There are no laws, no police, no diplomatic treaties and no hope...

If you're kidnapped by pirates and your police, military and government can't help - pray that someone, somewhere, decides: "It's time to go to war!"

'...a terrific page-turner combining action, pace and adventure to form a great story’
Trisha Jackson, Fiction Editor, Pan Macmillan

‘… fast-paced action adventure which I thoroughly enjoyed. Exciting, shocking in places, action-packed, well-researched and very contemporary… I found it a real page-turner…’
Hodder & Stoughton

'...the scenes at sea left me breathlessly turning the pages and I think the piracy angle is very strong. He is very good...’
Sphere Books

'...he's maybe even better than Frederick Forsyth and Gerald Seymour. A fabulous thriller!'

5.0 out of 5 stars A Riveting Read!! 3 July 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Came across "Q - A Thriller" while browsing for some vacation escapism...
Although I usually stick with known authors, I liked the sound of Q so took a chance on something new - glad I did!
It's basically an action movie in a book, with well developed characters, fast paced plot and great storyline.
(It's also a bonus that the author obviously knows his stuff without boring the reader with too much detail.)
Years ago I read various novels written by other ex-SAS (Andy McNab & Chris Ryan) and I've got to say that this first novel by KD George surpasses their offerings.
I'm betting that we hear a lot more about this author in the coming years and I can't wait to read his next book.
Five Stars from me.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great first novel 12 Nov 2012

The story takes a while to come together but when it does it is great , some of the chapters just fly by, even missed a train stop. Will be looking out for the next book for sure. I really like the subject and has a really blockbuster movie style to it as well. A few key moments are a bit almost glossed over but only as the rest of the book is so good hence 4 stars.

Just finished Q - A THRILLER and i thoroughly enjoyed it. It was epic and you really cared for the outcome of the characters. I will definately be reading the other books by this author whehn they become available.
I have just read the review of the book who gave it one star and as someone else pointed out they believe it is another author - cheap shot to say the least and I won't be reading any of their books.Q - A Thriller

Fast-paced and entertaining. Good first novel, a little bit predictable in places but still a decent page turner. Might try this author again.

Not the best writing, in some places it gets a bit slow with the details. But I enjoyed it . Well worth a read. I look forward to the next.

Sorry but I couldn't get into this book, and gave up after one and a half chapters. It just didn't grab my attention. I may or may not go back to it at some other time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent first Novel
Great. Well done. Everything a thriller should be. Suspense from start to finish. Also refreshing not to have swear words peppering every sentence.

Really enjoyed this book. Curious as to where it was going for first half of the book but really un-put-downable.
