I have about a dozen of these, I use them for storage /freezing and cooking. They are great for stacking in the fridge and freezer.
I prepare Lasagne/fish pie and a wide variety of other dishes, that need finished off in the oven. They are far superior to any of the plastic clip and lock containers, and are more hygienic. I've had all kinds (my husband hates plastic storage containers and has a habit of throwing them out). These are the only ones that he doesn't deem RUBBISH!
I've also used them for catering/ they are great for transporting. They come up like new when washed time after time.

I have about 10 of these because they have so many uses. They are perfect for leftovers you want to freeze. You may not know at the time if you plan to microwave or oven cook it. With this you can do both. If you need to cover during the reheat, use the loosened lid in the microwave and a piece of aluminium foil in the oven.
Like all pyrex items they are a sinch to clean as glass is naturally non-stick. After a short soak you'll make light work of most baked on dinners. If not you're safe to use any harsh cleaner you like without ruining them.

I use this Pyrex dish with plastic lid to store cheese in the fridge. I have found that it keeps the cheese in perfect condition and that no moisture collects in the container. The base could also be used as an oven dish, although I've not tried that. It is durable and well made and is a good compromise for people who wish to limit their use of plastic.

IT CLEARLY SAYS "NOT FOR OVEN USE"
These are excellent but from reading other feedbacks I thought you could use them to cook in the oven. Read more
