4.0 out of 5 stars MY EYES!!! 28 Nov 2008
Platform for Display:Nintendo Wii
Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
This is a very imaginative and well thought out game. It's basically an RPG style game, but battle sequences take on the form of a 'bejeweled' style puzzle game. This may sound a little basic, but the producers have obviously gone to great lengths planning the game and made a very intricate and addictive system. Everything you do in play counts and you really have to think out your tactics. Also there are many variations and mini-games that crop up when you start doing things like 'Crafting Items', 'Training Mounts' and 'Interogating Prisoners' to learn their special attacks.

I'm already so addicted to this game that I'm going blind, and every time I close my eyes I see coloured orbs matching up and exploding - shooting lightening in various directions. Theres always something to keep you progressing and plenty to do on the side.

In summary, for a puzzle game it has an amazing amount of substance and fantastic playability. HOWEVER, my one criticism is that the sound is terrible. Voice acting is awful and music skips to different tracks during play with a notable jump between. This does taint the atmosphere somewhat. Overall though, a great game for anyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simple, but fun 9 Jan 2009
Platform for Display:Nintendo Wii
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
First of all, for those looking for a fighting or action game, this is not for you. The 'battles' are actually just puzzle games. However, don't let this put the rest of you off. The game is fun and the difficulty level is accurate meaning you won't always win or lose. The text can be really small and them talking can be boring but the actual jewel games are frequent and fun.

A word of caution though. Today is 9/1/09 and Amazon is selling this game at £21. I bought this game directly from amazon for just £9.98 with a £10 voucher. Not sure why it has gone up so much but you may want to wait, or look elsewhere, before buying.

4.0 out of 5 stars Highly addictive! 1 Feb 2009
Platform for Display:Nintendo Wii
Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
This game is surprisingly addictive. I have had this for a few months now and try to play it when I have some spare time. The dialogue is amusing and the game play is very similar to Bejewelled. The really nice thing about this game, unlike other games, is that your character still gets experience points when he loses a battle. It's very easy to play this for a few hours and it only seems like 30 minutes as it is very absorbing.
The game play does start off very linear but as the game progresses, you can choose which quests to complete first. It is a huge game with varied missions and monsters. The game can be a bit tiring after a while but wanting to complete a puzzle just gets you totally hooked.
