This is when short-run printing does not work. If it had been a paperback booklet sold in the newsagents, it might have worked. As an A4 hard-covered, photocopied book looking for all the world like a desk-diary, it is far too expensive and you are better off brainstorming your own ideas meeting current qualification, technology and market expectation requirements.

Putting Together Professional Portfolios

This is an excellent book and published in 2009. Amazon has so many choices when it comes to professional portfolios. I purchased this book because it is an easy read and although parts of the book are geared toward educators and students the information is relevant enough to be used by any professional.
Many healthcare organizations are implementing pay4performance programs and evaluations. One organization that is actively working on this a part of an organizational strategic initiatives is the Veterans Health Administration and the office of nursing services (ONS) in Washington. Implementation began in FY 2007 and will be fully implemented by FY 2012.
For registered nurses in this health care setting looking to develop a professional portfolio ion order to be ahead of the game combine this book with Patricia Benner's "From Novice to Expert: Excellence and Power in Clinical Nursing Practice" commemorative edition.
Additionally, these two books make ecxcellent gifts. I purchased them for the RN who has been my mentor during my MSN program.
