A great book - I will hurry to buy Pussy Portraits 2.
Many men love to see pussies and I admit I am one of them. In real life, the number is somewhat limited, but this book opens up a whole new perspective. So many focused close-up photos, all individual, not at all repetitive, all beautiful in their own way, mostly without pubic hair (of course you see the lips better, but it is less natural in my view), a few with piercings. This book will join the few good books on the subject I own: "Femalia" (Joani Blank), "Petals (Nick Karras) and from an art perspective "Yoni Portraits" (Christina Camphausen).

The most shocking bit is the cover: Shocking Pink. The approach is simple, portrait left, pussy right. And it provides a nice way to spend time trying to find clues in one page informing you about the other and vice versa. Occasionally I get the impression eyebrows, eyes, nose, lips and the shape of the smile give some hints. And I get the idea makeup some times seems to have been applied in such a way that it helps to sustain this perceived link. However, for me it quickly becomes a bit boring and I haven't really spent much time with the portrait book apart from immediately after I received it. Perhaps because it is never really erotic?

On balance: Certainly a good book for satisfying your more shallow interests, but expensive for what you get.

The idea is a great one. However, I must court controversy and say that too many of the labia displayed here are remarkably ugly. Some look particularly unhealthy.
Well the women, as the book says, have been chosen simply for their willingness to take part and not for their beauty. And it shows.
Of course the pussy when photographed like this may not be the most beautiful subject. Maybe I've been lucky or have good taste if you'll excuse the pun, but I wouldnt go near most of these specimens! Labia are truly remarkable in the sheer variety of types, shapes, sizes, colours and textures. Some are very beautiful, some are neat, some mysterious, some truly deserve the name vulva. Some look like they survive on a diet of mcdonalds and suffer from unknown diseases.
And if youre going to shave please dont leave stubble everywhere!
What I hoped would be a source of conversation and laughter when left on the coffee table, I wouldnt want to inflict on my guests at all in case they lost their appetite..

Daring Erotic Photography! 2 July 2009
By Michelle7 - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
This is a unique collection of portraits, to say the least. On the left side of each page there is a portrait of a beautiful young woman. And on the right side, there is the the accompanying closeup photo of her exposed genitalia - in all it's fleshy pink glory. This is a bold presentation of images, that may initially be hard to understand or appreciate. But after flipping the through the pages for a while, one comes to appreciate the beautiful architecture of the labia, the labia minora, the clitoral hood and the clitoris, and the vagina itself. One cannot fail to recognize the striking variance, individuality, and beauty here; each "pussy" portrait is as unique and special as are the more standard portraits. This is a daring work that must be seen to be believed.

Amazing! 14 May 2009
By Mark Twain - Published on Amazon.com

This is an amazing book! Amazing because the photos are so close-up, crisp and beautiful and amazing because no one ever did this before. It's a simple but very effective concept: portraits of pretty young women and portraits of their "pussies". Maybe Frannie Adams is the only one who could do this. I looked at her website and she definitely specializes in erotic, close-up photography! frannieadams dot com. Maybe it took a female photographer to be able created these beautiful portraits.

Quite a Read (look) 21 Jan. 2010
By Kirk D. Collins - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
I truly enjoyed my journey though this beautiful and erotic book! I was particularly taken by the confidence by which these women display their most private of features. Such a wide variety of vaginas! I had no idea. I anxiously await additional volumes from Frannie Adams!

Public and private 19 Mar. 2011
By wiredweird - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover Verified Purchase
A woman's face is perhaps the most public part of her body, in most cultures. And, even where nudity is accepted, the inner folds of her vulva are the most private. This delightful book shatters that dichotomy. Each two-page spread presents one charming young lady. Verso: a closeup of her face, recto: her inner folds unfolded.

All the faces seem fresh and young, differing in all the details that give each woman her unique charm. The second photo, however, displays human variation at its most marvelous. Some petals unfold widely for the camera, others barely peep out from between the outer lips. Each fold, each opening, each shade of coloring presents a new way for the woman's uniqueness to express itself.

Other books, like Petals and Femalia, also praise this most varied and personal expression of women's intimate beauty. Seeing her face side by side with her genitalia, however, adds a whole new dimension to appreciating her loveliness. Ms Adams: Beautifully done!

Good as a conversation piece 19 Feb. 2013
By Diego Morales - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover Verified Purchase
This book doesn't have a lot of competition; there just aren't many books out there with this type of subject or the way it is treated. The images themselves are of good quality and they are printed well. If you want to have something sitting out that is sure to start up a conversation (or shock your guests) then this book will certainly do that.

However, the book is severely lacking in diversity. While there are some images of other groups, European-Americans are easily the most represented group. This fact probably stems (at least partly) from the fact that this group may have been convenient for the author/photographer, but it's important to know.

I've added this just in case someone is looking for something and hasn't considered that the title of the book is accurate:
It should be understood that these images are not what one would typically call "artistic." That is, they are simple portrait shots, both of the face and the genitalia. There is no intricate lighting, no illusion of movement, of depth, or of fluidity, and the images don't tell a story. They are, just as the title of the book implies, portraits.
