4.0 out of 5 stars A Brief Visual History of The Erotic Female 6 Dec 2010
By J. M. N. - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
I saw this in a bookstore years ago, and just found it again. I'm a female art history buff, artist, and erotica collector. The art inside is well printed and crisp, and the book is quite quality.

I won't lie, this book is full of what a lot of people would call pornography, as well as somewhat graphic, sexual acts. But, this is also where a lot of "lost" work that's off display can only be found. The book presents a lot of "forgotten" art, by some pretty famous names, and I'd dare say nothing is too obscene, but it is a very erotic book. Great for art history fans (Though I wish there was more history to it, a bit more background would have been lovely.) It does have some political cartoons, as well as surreal imagery, and while the work is "racy", it's also relevant for a time when women were often censored.
