I wasn't expecting a lot from Pusher after reading the reviews on here. But I thought it was a well paced, pretty stylish, British film. Sure it could have been better acted and scripted, but that didn't detract from it too much. I've seen much worse films get much better reviews.

A passable brit criminal flick about a drug pusher out ofbhis depth tryingbto raise cash to pay back a nasty gang leader/would be mobster.

Full of low life villains and shady deals this is well shot, very stylish, although the electro soundtrack sometimes intrudes as do the visual elements and camera tricks.

Still it's fast paced, very, very well acted by the leads and whilst not a Lock Stock style comedy romp a very competetent brit gangland thriller.

Worth noting that this is a remake so hard to compare to the original, this review is based on this as a stand alone film.

I wanted to watch Pusher having heard Orbital's fantastic soundtrack album. Unfortunately, the soundtrack is one of the best things about the film- the rest is just OK.

Like a few other British films I've seen, it tries quite hard to be the next "Lock Stock And Two Smoking Barrels", but ends up falling a little bit short and feeling more like a late-night episode of EastEnders or a grown-up "it's all gone a bit wrong" episode of The Inbetweeners, but without being funny. I didn't realise until afterwards that it is a remake of a Danish film; it's difficult to tell.

That said, Richard Coyle is great in the lead role. Initially impassive and a bit wooden, he cranks up the performance as the world starts collapsing in around his character. Unfortunately some of the supporting cast, such as Agyness Deyn, never quite shake off the woodenness, and Paul Kaye as one of Frank's biggest clients is hard to take seriously even when he's not playing things for laughs.

Ultimately though it's a decent way to spend 90 minutes of your time, but it's certainly not a classic.

Oh dear - like some other negative reviewers have said, I too found the acting and the script pretty woeful. This film has a very amateur and childish feel to it. It's not the worst film I've ever seen though and it did provide me with some measure of entertainment, but it is safe to say that it's not something I'll be watching again.

We thought this film was good and action packed. Lots of action and we thought it was a good storyline. Very enjoyable if you like this kind of film, which we do.

I bought this on the strength of the promise that it was "from the director of Drive" and spent the entire movie in a state of agitated disbelief. Sure enough, it isn't directed by Nicolas Winding Reyn and shame on him for allowing his name to be attached to the film as producer. Wooden acting, barmy non-plot, cliched cinematography and comic bad guys - an irretrievably awful film from start to finish.

Nowhere near as good as the original Pusher, but if you haven't seen the Danish version you might enjoy this more than I did.

I found myself constantly comparing every aspect to the original so it always came up short. Not one single aspect was better than the original. The actor who played Frank did a good job I guess and Milo and his crew were fine (Milo played by the same actor who played the original ..) - But I thought it was shoddy casting for Tony and Frank's girlfriend.

Pointless remake.

This is an amazing film, from the start the show has plenty of hidden tension, the tension slowly builds up. Its a sensational movie and great for those who like films such as the business, the firm, ect.
