Product Description

Album Description

Take home your very own slice of Balearic sunshine with the first in a brand new series, Purobeach, brought to you in association with a brand new beachclub, spa, and terrace restaurant which has been voted one of the top ten places to be by Conde Nast Traveller. The soundtrack is a sun-soaked mix of chilled house and downtempo grooves across two discs.

Disc one, 'dia', is mixed by bargrooves' Ben Sowton: A deeply relaxing soundscape awash with soothing beats and unwinding melodies, with tracks and mixes from Honeyroot, Alex Cortiz, Tosca and Bent.

Disc two, 'noche', is a sophisticated house selection, tailor-made for dancing beneath the stars, and features tracks from Jay-J and Miguel Migs amongst many others.

A refined blend of expertly-selected tracks purpose made for designer slacking

5.0 out of 5 stars Cool, cool, cool..., 26 Aug 2005
This review is from: Purobeach Vol.1 (Audio CD)
I stumbled over this title while surfing on the Seamless website for the latest Bargrooves release. This is a quality album, especially CD1 where all the tracks are just so chilled out. Definetely buying the second release.

4.0 out of 5 stars So sophisticated...., 4 Sep 2006

This review is from: Purobeach Vol.1 (Audio CD)
As always with anything from the Bargrooves stable, the hallmark is sophisticated house at its best. CD1 is very chillout but won't be like any of the cheesier compilations you may have heard. CD2 is more up tempo but still effortlessly conjours up images of sun, sea and sand. The mixing is, as you'd expect, a little more fluid here and the signature ongoing vibe never fails to impress.

Will definitely be taking this to Majorca later this month, together with Vol 2!
