This book should be looked upon as an accessories guide for your outside space, be it a trendy suburban balcony or cottage garden. It is a feast of beautiful photos (by the fantastic Pia Tryde) featuring utilitarian furniture, accessories and plants for your garden. There are no latin names, planting guides or gardening tips here.
It has quite a 'country' feel to it, photos of weathered sheds, beautiful old tools and vintage watering cans sit amidst clipped box plants in galvanised buckets and brightly painted chairs.
It's not a gardening book, nor an interior one, it sits somewhere inbetween, treat it as an outside space style guide for a certain simple rustic look and you can't go wrong, it really is lovely.
