Pure Hungarian Goose Down duvet - King size, 13.5 tog
The duvet was described on the Amazon website as "by Get 2 Bed" and "sold by Viceroy Bedding". (It still is.) The e-mail dispatch advice was from a company called "MS Chahal and Sons (Wholesale) LTD". On querying whether this was actually my order I was informed that MS Chahal was another trading name for Viceroy Bedding.
When the item arrived at my home it was in a scruffy carton labelled 'Bathsheet colour blue'. I told the courier I had not ordered any blue bathsheet. He suggested I open the carton anyway and, sure enough, the content was a duvet.
There was no delivery advice with the carton indicating its origin but stitched onto the duvet was a label carrying the logo 'CuddleDown'.
Although the label also contained a technical description of the duvet - pure goosedown, king size, etc - it may have been acquired from the local Pound shop for all I know. Where is the reference to 'Get 2 bed' or 'Viceroy Bedding' (or, for that matter, 'MS Chahal') that formed the basis of my original purchase.
The duvet is now under test and so far so good. However, it was not an enjoyable buying experience and I was somewhat surprised at the totally unprofessional environment that one does not expect from Amazon.
Later addition ..... I understand that the duvet is actually made by an American company called Cuddledown. They call them 'comforters' over there. (I don't know why Amazon cannot be more transparent about the sourcing of their products.)
