The first cd isn't as great as the second cd but it is good anyway.
It's mainly speed garage with a few oldskool mixes placed inside.
Cd-1 starts of with a typical londoner describing his day, before being mixed through to some amazing later songs. Dj:EZ has picked the right selection of track for this compilation.
If you are a hardcore garage raver this is the cd for you. Play it loud and annoy your neighbours.

Back again for the fifth instalment, I personally don't think it's as good as V or III but I haven't really worn it out yet. Some of the choons might grow on me :)
A real disappointment was the Shola Ama and Ms Dynamite track - I mean two of the most talented vocalists around and the track has like two lines of vocals. Then we have Ooolllllldddd filler tracks like 'Something in your eyes' and 'It ain't enough' that have already been featured on other volumes of the complication. Another disappointment was that the So Solid, Pay As you go, More Fire and Heartless crew were no where to be seen. Yet it isn't all bad Wide Boys, Genius Cru and Nitin Sawhney feature! Overall I wasn't overly impressed but I don't regret buying it.

I find it hard to decide which is better, v or iv.I like this as it has much more bass, with tracks such as Jameson, CJ Bollard, Bad Boy, Snatch, Jammin and Zed Bias. Then there are the vocal tracks: Nitin Sawhney and Madd Forrest coupled with the MC talents in Versatile, The Streets-Pure Garage, JJ Louis and Genius Crew. There are some annoying appearances though, Todd Edwards and his 'i love messin' with vocals' tracks, is there any need for Artful.D and Dreem.T again? and the strangeness of the Beat Freaks track has to be heard(and then never again). Particular faves are the mixes from Nitin Sawhney into DJ Lewi into The Streets, then CJ Bollard into Jameson, Madd Forrest through to Jammin and Zed Bias to Genius Crew. As ever, i think the main appeal of the Pure Garage series is the mixing by DJ EZ, which i first thought(on Pure Garage II)sounded crap as the music was cut sometimes and beats came in then went out again. But now as a bedroom DJ, i understand the difficulty of matching beats, cutting treble and bass and making the overall mix work, and i now use the EZ 'way'. Pure Garage is an invaluable tool, a source of new artists (D.Bedingfield anyone?), styles of garage and for me, a catologue for buying new vinyl. Pure Garage is the best, will remain the best, and long may EZ produce such fine material for others to aspire to.

Its another winner from Dj EZ. The mixing is taken 2 a complete new level. The tracks are all phat and heavy and it still remains loyal to the underground. Something in ur eyes rmx and Artful Dodger rmxs are heavy cannot dis them as they are fresh. Good 2 C this far in the series and they haven't copped out with any mistteq or so solid kru. Another good job buy EZ. buy this u will not B dissapointed.
