5.0 out of 5 stars Utter Class - Must Buy 30 Jun 2005
Format:Audio CD
Bought this album last week, after seeing it advertised on TV and was not dissapointed at all. There are 3cd's in this set with each cd holding a different genre.
CD1 is filled with Speed Garage anthems. Speed garage can only be described as a mixture between house and breakbeat with some deep basslines and very bouncy riffs. My tune I'd recommend on this cd is Track 13 - Double 99 : RIP Groove. The tune is a timeless classic but the way its mixed in with Artful Dodger's "Woman Trouble" is just superb and makes me want to dance around the room...
CD2 is rather different, much more upbeat and very very bouncy. Perfect cd for pre-club listening or on your Ipod for long journeys. This cd is much less garage - much more techno which shows in the crazy Dexplicit "Bullacake", which sounds like some old Spectrum game...
CD3 is a strange one. Not a hint of garage in any form on this cd, just mainstream house classics, such as Goodmen's "Give It Up" and Alan Braxe's "Intro". This cd would make brilliant party music, everyone knows the tunes and none of them are the commercial tripe that spawn on Ministry of Sh*&e albums
Overall its quite a collection, definatly worth getting for the first two cd's alone but the third makes a nice little bonus.

5.0 out of 5 stars DJ EZ Standard 3 Sep 2009
Format:Audio CD
Being a fan of DJ EZ`s mixing ability for over 10 years now - every time a new cd comes out goes into the " must have collection " for any dance fan, streamless mixing with an undoubted passion for garage as he has, no wonder his bookings for Dj ing are continous and renound, " The King of UKG " with yet another outstanding contribution to music

And they say ukg is Dead -

Amazing. Cannot speak highly enough of it. It is worth the price for the first cd alone which is probably the best Garage mix i have ever heard. EZ has come through yet again!

5.0 out of 5 stars Ez at his Best!!! 19 May 2005
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
This Brand new compilation is put to you by none other that the award winning Dj Ez!, he alone is a selling point for this CD, But if you are a commercial UK Garage head and have been missing out of late with the drop in Garage releases this is what you've been waiting for.The Box set is a 3 Cd collection with New Skool Garage and all the recent club tunes aswell as the Classic athems such as Double99-Ripgroove!. The 3rd Cd is a strange one as is it mainly funky house which I personally didnt think would get much play, but the expert mixing and song selection from Ez makes it for quite a good listen.
Commercial Garage is not dead, its alive and Pumping like it always has.
