I debated buying this for months based on the reviews, but poverty finally got the better of me. Folks, if you're strapped for cash: this very much does the job and I doubt you'll regret it. It was a little bit of a challenge to screw in one or two of the bolts at times, but it can be done and it feels sturdy enough when completed. It's easy to adjust the height, and the whole unit is surprisingly compact when put into storage mode. For transport, it can easily be separated into two pieces. The "ab board" doesn't interest me and luckily you don't even need to construct the thing, but it's a nice addition. The dip and pushup handles are a great touch.

As for the pullup bar, it's beautiful. Comfortable to use for chinups, and wonderfully ergonomic for wide grip pullups thanks to the sloped handles. Strangely, hardly any of the vastly more expensive units I found were able to provide a similar bar, and this one is perfectly designed to the point that it became a positive deal breaker for me.

There's a little bit of bending from the vertical unit when you're using it, sure (I'm 12 stone myself) but I don't feel like I'm in any danger at all, and as long as you're using it correctly (no gymnastics) I doubt it'll topple over anytime soon.

It would seem odd to give this five stars, but I can't hesitate to recommend it. Don't waste your money on door mounted nonsense, splash out a little extra and pick up this bargain. I even received it the day after I ordered it!

**UPDATE**
November now, so I've had this item for 4 months. After near-daily use, it's still holding up beautifully. Great purchase, so glad I didn't spend any more on this!

**UPDATE #2**
Still going strong in April, 9 months down the road it's as sturdy as the day I bought it.

I was looking for a pull up station to add to my home exercise equipment. I took a look at all of the other pull up stations and finally settled on the Pure Fitness & Sports pull up station.

What I like about it:
1) It was cheaper than the other pull up stations
2) I like the fact that the they have added an ab board, I only seen two other types of pull up stations on Amazon that had an ab board.
3) The dip station seems great (so far from my usage)
4) Doesn't rock when dipping
5) You can perform push ups with the push up handles at the bottom of the pull up station

What I dislike about it:
1) When performing pull ups the pull up portion of the station leans forward. I tried lowering the pull up portion but there still was some bend.
2) When lowering the pull up station I had to add some grease for it to slide effectively, it worked to an extent but no matter how much grease I apply I can not lower the pull up portion completely
3) When assembling the pull up station, the drilled holes at the dip portion weren't lined up, I'm guessing the person that drilled the holes didn't drill them in line

I gave it three stars due to some of the design flaws it has and not being able to perform pull ups at the minute (until I figure out how to stop the bend in the pull up portion

Very comfortable solid bars and a neat size.. some of the power towers are massive, this fits neatly in any room and can even be lowered when not in use.

For £99 you'd be hard pushed to find anything better. I'm around 10.5 st and I feel comfortable exercising off this, however if I was a lot heavier I'd maybe feel a little dubious as the base is pretty small.

My only critical feedback is some of the screw threads did not line up exactly with the holes, it can be fiddly to assemble. I had to sand one of them down a little. Setting up is really a two man job, I say that because it's important all bars are flush and are at tight 90degree angles during assembly to ensure it's stable at the end. I'd also like the hand book to recommend a good starting height based on how tall you are.

Overall I'm happy with this and I think Pure Fitness have produced a great little product that will give you a challenging workout for an excellent price.

Cheap cheap cheap.

Well, just because its cheap does not mean its a bad thing, in fact that was one of the reasons I bought this but...

one large screw would not fit into it's housing on the bottom right support.

This screw I think is vital to the integrity of the station as it is right down at the bottom.

The problem is that the bars that get screwed to the bottom support just do not line up.
It takes two screws, one goes in and sits flush but if you try the other... it does not line up

While the assembly was pretty easy and quick, the station materials were not too bad either (considering the price)...
once setup it was not "rock solid" but didnt seem like it would topple over either.

I'm an ~80kg guy, and I tried this for a few days *without* the right bottom screw, then I got a bit scared that it would come lose and I would injure myself or someone else so I contacted the seller for a replacement.

Amazon sent me a replacement *really* quick, I still had the old one with me when I got the replacement so I simply setup the new one and... while the old one had a mis-alignment of 1/4 of an inch, this one had a misalignment of 1/8th of an inch!

I tried moving parts between the old and the new to mix and match - it still would not setup properly.
Another problem I had was with the _new_ one, the screws would not go in properly, I had to use considerable force and then I just gave up because I didnt want to strip the screws if I was going to return it (which I did), I did not have this problem with the first one.

I'm kind of out of shape (duh!) so I need support when doing chin ups, I put a chair behind and the station quickly became a bit unstable.
