Product Description

Product Description

The Pure Fitness & Sports Exercise Bike hosts a variety of great features for the price, it uses a 7kg balanced flywheel to ensure users have a completely smooth cycling motion when exercising for enjoyable workouts. The MCL800 bike has 16 different levels of magnetic resistance that become increasingly difficult, gradually increasing these levels as you become fitter will help keep your workouts just as beneficial and intense as the previous one. The bike also has 12 pre-installed programmes with various workouts to target fat loss and simulate hill training, taking full advantage of these programmes will help maintain a high level of motivation as they vary your training to keep it interesting. The MCL800 is designed to accommodate a vast range of users, it has a large user capacity of 18.8 stone and the large cushioned seat pad can be adjusted both horizontal and vertical so that everybody can find their optimum comfort position. Regular training on the MCL800 for a least 3 times a week will massively aid in the reduction of fat loss and will also tone and strength your leg muscles, exercise bikes are particularly beneficial as they're so low impact they don't apply barely any pressure to your joints unlike running. The Benefits of an Exercise Bike Cycling is a very low impact form of exercise so it doesn't put any pressure or strain on your knees, hips or ankles which makes bikes an attractive option for rehabilitation purposes, the elderly and anyone who suffers from joint or ligament problems. With cycling been a weight bearing exercise it helps to strengthen bones and keeps your joints, tendons and ligaments flexible. Regular exercise on a bike has also been proven to help increase your lung capacity and metabolism (burn fat at a quicker rate) and decrease the risk of osteoporosis, high blood pressure, heart disease, and diabetes.

Recently went on holiday and put a bit of weight on, got back home and thought time to get back in shape.
Didn't want a cheap bike but didn't want an over expensive one either so this one was just the right price and it is worth every penny.
Easy to assemble and doesn't take up much room....
Has 12 settings, I'm on number 4 at the moment and after 30 minutes the sweats dripping off me lol that's how fit I am.....
For anyone who is serious about getting fit this bike is the one for you...

Only problem is motivation as I'm naturally a lazy cow. Bought as I have damaged my achilles tendons running and am banned for life, so needed an alternative. I hate road cycling (crazy drivers and Scottish weather) so now sit in comfort, watching a dvd whilst I build up the miles. The programme variety is brilliant and it's relatively quiet when using. A bit bulky of course when not in use, but it's not too heavy to move when I want into the wardrobe. Easy to build up as well.

easy to assemble and move as it has rollers on the back. The settings are also quite easy to sort out.
My only criticism ( and my husband says the same) is that the saddle is very wide and after about 15 miutes or so of using the machine, it really makes your coccyx and lower spine ache.

The exercise bike was promptly delivered to the required address. It was easy to assemble and put in use. The set programmes are a little too hard for a beginner, but the manual mode is an excellent introduction to a more demanding training routine. Very pleased with purchuse.

This bicycle is relatively simple to assemble, operate and is of first class and robust construction. We have also thoroughly tested the bicycle before review and can find no fault with this product.
The instructions indicate item 72 the 'Pulse Sensor' is a single connection but in fact is two; it would be extremely helpful to colour code these to ensure that they cannot be inadvertantly connected up incorrectly.

This exercise bike arrived promptly and was easy to put together.

In use, the machine is quiet with some basic pre set program's to choose from. The pulse monitor isn't particularly accurate, however, I use my own heart rate monitor and chest strap, so I'm not too bothered about that. It would of been nice to have a heart rate monitor built in to the machine, to pick up my chest strap, rather than rely on the sensors on the handlebars, but for this price, I really shouldn't be complaining.

The display is functional, without being too fancy and complicated like some mega expensive machines you might find in your local gym.

The machine needs to be plugged in to work, so you'll need to set up near a wall socket, or use an extension. The display can also be set for a number of different users, so you only need to enter your gender, height, weight, age etc once. It will then work out your calories burned etc as you go on each session. As this relies on the pulse monitor, which isn't overly accurate, I don't pay too much attention to this functionality.

The seating position is comfortable, however, I do a lot of road cycling, so I'm used to saddles shaped like razor blades. My Mrs uses the machine too and finds the seat ok for about an hour or so before the discomfort gets too much. We'll see if it's something she'll get used to, or if we need to pick up a gel seat cover. There is adjustment in the seat height, and the saddle can be moved forward and backwards, but there's no adjustment in the handlebars.

In summary, I think this is an excellent piece of kit for the price, for home workouts and to supplement other training if the weather isn't too good for example.

The service was excellent; very prompt. The bike is superb for the price. I'm delighted! Thanks very much!
It's design and multiple height facility allows for comfortable use and it's very sold, even when you're peddling fast.

Bit fiddly to put together but worth it in end. Well constructed bike. Sturdy and works well. I go gym classes 6 times a week so this bike is for in between times when I can spare half hour or so. Would have given 5 stars but had bit of trouble fitting it together. Took longer than manual said plus the manual is very misleading
