Its contemporary design sits easily in most interiors and its beautifully engineered revolving dock will accommodate iPods, iPhones and iPads. Designed with an insert-free docking mechanism, the dock folds neatly back inside when not in use.
Bring millions of tracks, thousands of radio stations, and more to your Contour 100Di with the PURE Lounge app. Suitable for the iPod touch, iPhone and iPad, the Lounge app gives you free access to thousands of internet radio stations, on demand content (podcasts and listen again programmes) and ambient sounds, as well as the forthcoming PURE Music subscription service, which allows you to access all the music you want whenever you want it.
Contour 100Di also features DAB digital and FM radio, its big sound putting it streets ahead of comparable radios and speaker docks. Other features include a full-function slimline remote (with neat magnetic remote tidy), two alarms, and sleep and snooze timers.

I've wanted a good quality DAB radio clock with iPhone/iPod dock for a while, and this is perfect.
The sound quality is good for such a small unit and it feels well made. It also offers FM mode and the availability of a free 'app' (Pure Lounge) for internet radio. There are several control buttons on the top of the unit to work the unit independently of the remote. Looks nice too - half moon, compact shape and size.
Solid docking rest which rotates from closed to open on touch - very nice mechanism which I could play with all day!!! The display is clear and may be set to be permanently on, off or timed to 'dim'.
The remote is small, perfectly formed - with the right options (although it would be nice if it 'glowed' at night), and stored neatly on a magnetic plate at the back of the unit when not in use. The remote will control the iPhone/iPod (not tried the iPad - I assume the same) so that you don't need to touch the iPh/iPod whilst docked. It also charges the iPh/iPod/iPad whilst docked, even when not in use.
There is a USB connection at the back, and an alternative cable connection for iPod etc. Power is via cable, no battery option.
Two alarm settings in addition to audio alarm. Snooze and sleep functions - various time settings. 40 'favourite' pre-set stations may be stored.
I can't say anything negative, a great product for a very good price.

Considering the price and the small size of this dock, the sound is very good. The stereo effect isn't very strong but this is unavoidable when the speakers are close together.
The DAB radio works well, tuning from one station to another is quite rapid.
It works perfectly as an iPod dock, nothing more to say about that.
The display is clear enough, and thankfully when set to auto-dim the backlight goes very dim in a dark room so you won't have to worry about the clock illuminating the whole room which happens with some other alarm clocks.
I only have 2 small niggles:
firstly you have to use the small remote to use the snooze feature (you can press the power button on the dock to turn off the alarm)
secondly the power supply that comes with the unit makes a noticeable hissing sound that can be heard from a few feet away in a quiet room. Most modern switch-mode power supplies make some noise but this one is noisier than most, but not noisy enough to keep me awake.

Pure have now released a new version of the firmware for this dock, you can now press the 'favourites' button on the dock to use the snooze feature.

I actually bought the Pure Contour from John Lewis as the price is the same but you get a 2 year guarantee which is very good. I was looking for a unit to be used in the bedroom and specifically wanted a DAB radio and iPod Touch dock together. I have a first generation iPod Touch (the one with the silver back) and I bought a Sony system for the same price but it wouldn't play the Touch, and after numerous telephone calls I had to return it to JL's as it was not compatible. Six months or more later, I came across this unit and think it is brilliant. The Touch works really well, and I also wanted a solid aerial rather than a wire aerial and it is unusual to find one on a unit of this price. I also wanted something that looked stylish and this certainly fits the bill. It is compact and tidy and sits on my dressing table very nicely. The remote control works really well - you don't have to be in front of it (unlike the Roberts MP53 which I have in my lounge) to make it work. After a long search for something within this price range, I couldn't be more pleased.
