5.0 out of 5 stars Best album of the decade, so far..... 15 Sep 2010
Format:Audio CD
I have seen Kirsty play and sing in a number of intimate venues, including our local pub, and class just oozes from her pores. After hearing Pure Blue Green I am now SO looking forward to seeing her with the whole band on 30th Sept at Band on the Wall in Manchester. The album is polished and beautifully produced and I can't understand why we are not hearing more of her on radio and TV. She is perfect for Jools Holland - would someone please tell him?

5.0 out of 5 stars Stunningl Pure Blue Green GOLD! 24 Aug 2010
By Joe Joe
Format:Audio CD
Have been fortunate to see Kirsty Almeida and her amazing band performing in both Manchester and Cambridge, and they never fail to put on an awe-inspiring show. The song-writing and arrangements are innovative, exciting, sensitive and compelling - and the musicianship is truly wonderful. Can't wait for the next instalment! This must be one of the most mature debuts ever.

5.0 out of 5 stars amazing debut album 23 Aug 2010
Format:Audio CD
Seen Kirsty Almeida band promoting this album live at Glee club Birmingham and V fest and must say they are amazing. The single "Spider" is truly original (check out the video) and "Scares Me" demonstrates the capability of the singer and the quality of production. Real depth of musical experience at work here and great variety; something for everyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful album and wonderful voice 7 Nov 2011
By Silverfrog TOP 1000 REVIEWER
Format:Audio CD
I have been fortunate enough to see Kirsty Almeida live in concert in Leeds (as Kirsty Almeida and the Troubadours) and they were wonderful. So wonderful in fact that at intermission we ordered this debut album that was recorded in London. The Pure Blue Green is a great album with a wide range of songs. Kirsty has a lovely voice that ranges from light and sweet in songs like Butterflies to deep and husky like Spider. Several songs in this album feature in the upcoming movie Albatross like 'If you can't make me happy'. All of her songs are truly individual, creative and characteristic and she has had great reviews having performed at Glastonbury and The Big Chill amongst other places.
