Product Description

Hercules is a dachshund, and his new mistress Caroline is the greatest human being on earth. She's the one who rescued him from the animal shelter, who smells of summer and strawberries, and who laughs when the little pup snuggles up with her on the sofa.

So when Caroline is badly treated by her bossy, dog-hating boyfriend, Hercules decides it's high time he rescued his mistress for a change. And so begins an epic quest to find his favourite woman the perfect man...

Touching, original, and very funny, Puppy Love is a story about love, life, and the best friend a girl could ever have.

5.0 out of 5 stars An antidote to the winter blues 13 Feb 2012
Seen through the eyes of it's adorable star, Hercules the dog, this is a charming and funny read which will banish those winter blues for a while! Chic-lit at it's cutest and most bubbly. Just enjoy!

A thoroughly enjoyable and feel good book. Well written and perfect as a 'pick you up'. My only complaint was the ending. I expected and hoped she would end up with a different guy and was a bit disappointed with who she did end up with. Despite this, I would strongly recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a light-hearted, entertaining chick-lit. I will definitely look out for any more books by this author.

5.0 out of 5 stars it is so good 3 April 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I loved the idea of this, so when it was on amazon's book of the day I bought it and was not disappointed. The story line is great and the one who gets the girl isn't at all the one you think will. The only disappointment is that this is the only book by this author in English for the kindle. More please!Puppy Love

5.0 out of 5 stars Just what the vet ordered! 19 Mar 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Just when I needed cheering up, with the least possible effort on my part, along came Hercules. And what a dog! There is something so charmingly logical (to a puppy!) in the way Hercules sets about changing the life of the owner who so wonderfully changed his. You just have to be rooting for him, so sweetly bewildered as he is by humans and their really quite counterproductive dating habits. Enter Mr Beck...worldly-wise and cynical (well, of course he is, when you think what he is!) but with a spirit that allows for the possibility of happy endings. And together these two set out to bring one to Caroline, who somehow manages to be both pragmatic and yet - romantically speaking - an endearing, ingenuous mess. I liked the ending, because it wasn't predictable, which makes a refreshing change. So I am truly grateful to the author, for taking my mind off feeling miserable with flu. But not yet sure how I feel about having been so beguiled by this dog I was, apparently, making 'I want a Hercules!' whimpering noises. Be warned. This book may put you in very real danger of adopting a puppy! (Also, I fell completely in love with Willi - and so will you!).

5.0 out of 5 stars Not just a dog's eye view. 5 Jun 2012
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
This book appealed to me as adog lover but it has more to offer. Yes it is aview of the world from a dogs point of view and many of the incidents will be familiar to any dog owner. however it also shows th oddities of human behaviour and the humans are as important as the animals. Add to that it is easy to read and funny - I severl times laughed out loud - and this is a very enjoyable read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant read 7 May 2012

Loved reading this and was laughing all the way through. The fact it was written from the dogs point of view made it very unique. I hope there is a sequel!

4.0 out of 5 stars i loved it but the ending was disappointing 22 April 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
i love romance stories but i seemed to be reading to many supernatural love stories so when i read the synopsis i thought this would be a great change and i was right.
the dog and cat are great, the part with the bird cage is fantastic and i shall forever be wanting to know what my dog thinks of everything- and wether he approves of his name.
i didnt notice anything amiss wih the translation and if i hadnt read another review i dont think i wouldve twigged it was translated.
a lovely light hearted read but i was so sure that she was going to end up with someone else, that was my only complaint. i`ll definitly read more by this author though.
