This book is perfect for any newbie when it come to the world of dogs. I myself am a first time owner and the book was incredibly helpful. Buy all the dogs/puppy for dummies, like i did and you will have a very healthy happy dog/puppy in no time at all.

This is a fantastic book, although we have had/been around dogs all of our lives, its been some time since we had a puppy in the house! It explains everything that you need to know about bringing your new friend home and socialising him into his new world. It talks about behaviour and what to encourage and not to encourage and fantastic tips on tiolet training. Its a great reference book! The only drawback is that it is an American book so some of the information has American references (costs, vaccinations, contacts referenced in book etc)But that would not have deterred me from buying it! Great book!

If you are thinking of getting a puppy this book is a must. Follow the steps and you won't go wrong. We are in the terrible 2's at present but knowing about it before hand was a big help.
