These films aren't scary, and don't have too much gore, but they're just good fun! Most of the Puppets are likeable and although the effects aren't great (it's hard to suspend disbelief on occasion)you just can't wait to catch another glimpse of them in action.
A brief description of the films would be that the puppets are controlled by their master and have to kill for him, but they aren't adverse to turning on him if his plans affect their wellbeing!
In this second film, there is a new puppet added to the gang, Torch. I'd say he was the best of the lot to. He comes complete with a flame thrower attached to his arm!
These films are all strictly B-movie, but there is a magic about them (obviously, or there wouldn't be eight films!). This is a good fun film, nad highly recommended. Seek it out!
Puppet Master 2 is a little twisted and does not hold back on the gore , but nonetheless possesses a gripping story that keeps the viwer guessing until the very end , and this time the actors involved at least have the ability to act , unlike in Puppet Master , which at points threatened to slip into utter farce. The effect are better this time around as well , and a new puppet , torch , joins the fray and sets about burning human bodies to a cinder with utter relish.I would say that he is without doubt the scariest and most well done of all the puppets. All in all , Puppet Master 2 redeems the Puppet master series hugely and will be lapped up by all horror fans.Without a doubt a cult classic.
