The 'Punk Goes' series have never been brilliant, they usually suffer from some poor cover choices and some even poorer bands playing them. I admit there are some pure diamonds in there but this 'Punk Goes Crunk' is a joint worse effort with 'Punk Goes Pop'.

Once again almost all the bands fail to realise that playing the song almost exactly the same as the original, in the same tempo does NOT make a punk song. Just because your a punk bandplaying a Hip-Hop song, does NOT make that a punk song.

Songs like California(2Pac)and Men In Black(Will Smith) are frankly brilliant Hip-Hop songs, and I'm not even a fan of the genre, but the covers of them on this album are just CRUEL.

There are a few little highlights, namely Umbrella, Hey Ya isn't bad either and ofcourse New Found Glory put all the other bands to shame by turning a pretty rubbish ballad of a hip-hop song (Tennessee) in to a great acoustic track.

All in all. Terrible. Do NOT buy.

Starts of with a great Jedi mix of Put Yo Hood Up then into a fantastically funny say anything offering. Then wow, a great cover by The Maine of akons i wanna love you.
This really is a funny album that is quite listenable. Ok there are a couple of cack songs thanks to e-manuel and devil weras prada.
But its made up for by NFG and all time low. This really is alright!
