Book Description

23 Nov 2011
A collection of hundreds of Sherlock Holmes puns amassed over decades and stolen from a host of sources. The wordplay may be familiar, but the settings and characters are all original to the sources cited. The puns that have made it into the book are all Sherlockian narratives. Each is a tale describing events featuring Holmes characters, not simply a comment or an observation. We warn traditional Holmes fans up front, you will be annoyed and offended. If you are not, then the authors simply have not found your particular hangup - yet. Pick a number, they will get to you in a later edition.

4.0 out of 5 stars Genius!!! Knee Slapping Easy to dip in and out 14 Jan 2012
Format:Paperback
Bob Burr and Phillip K Jones have compiled 300+ pages of SherlocK Holmes related Puns!
Hurrah - They range from ones that will require an understanding of the Canon to fully appreciate to the more silly ones that are simply play on words - but I love it!
I wish i had come up some of these . I dont know how they managed to come up with so many .
Its an easy coffee book table read , easy to dip in and out of on the train or bus journey .
Irritate your partner with the knee slapping brilliance .

Conan Doyle had a dry with throughout the Holmes canon - that dry wit is replicated ten fold here with a slice of cheese to it too .

Intelligent and funny - Good value .

For a full video review and to hear some of jokes search for No PLace Like Holmes on Google or "Ross K Reviews on youtube" .

5.0 out of 5 stars Puns will cause groans and moans but are good for your health 14 Jan 2012
By Sir Coy - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
"If you like Sherlockian puns you will enjoy this book. Mr. P. K. Jones is a very popular critic and astute authority on the various published books written not only on Sherlock Holmes pastiche stories but on other venues as well. Mr. Bob Burr, his dastardly coauthor, is equally well known in Sherlockian circles and must also share the responsibility of perpetrating these puns upon the public. C.A.Lewis "
