5.0 out of 5 stars Far Out 13 May 2002
By Danial N. Jasper - Published on
Format:Audio CD
Totlally different from anything he did with his band Ten Years After. Not so much empasis on the lead guitar. Alvin is showing us that more is NOT always better. Alvin's style has mellowed somewhat, but his guitar picking is as clear and smooth as ever. Dan

4.0 out of 5 stars very Good Alvin Lee Solo Album From 1976 15 Aug 2013
By Mark Anderson - Published on
Format:Audio CD
This is an Alvin Lee solo album released in 1976, a few years after the break up of Ten Years After.

This album has some very good material on it. My personal favorites are Time and Space - an acoustic track that would fit right in on Ten Years After's 1971 album, A Space In Time, which may be part of the reason for the song title - and a cover of Midnight Special.

The total playing time is just under 45 minutes; it's just the original album release with no bonus tracks.

Overall, a very good album. If you only know Alvin Lee from his days with Ten Years After, you should like this one.

One caution though. This is one of those albums you have to listen to a few times to appreciate. I didn't particularly like it on the first play through. I came to appreciate it far more after a few plays.
