Reason for buying:
I decided to buy this product because I wanted a healthy form of a plant protein powder that had no dairy or toxins in it (artificial chemicals, colourings, preservatives & additives etc).

Mixing / Taste:
When I filled up 1/3 of the pint glass with water and added 30g of protein to it (2 tablespoons) I mixed it slowly with a large spoon and found that it mixed quite well. It had a very unique taste in that it tasted like cold creamy pea soup. It actually tasted much nicer than I expected = 9.5/10 for taste.

Health benefits:
After taking the product once a day until the bag finished I felt a lot healthier, I lost weight and found that my stomach bloating problem had improved. Strangely enough though after drinking it I felt that I had eaten something that my body really wanted and hadn't had before.

Value / Comparison vs other Pea products:
At £13.45/Kg with free postage, this product offers very good value for money considering it's healthy ingredients and health benefits.

There are also a number of other Pea protein powders available on Amazon which I have tried, however in my experience they are either made of less desirable ingredients such as "Bulk Powders 1kg Pea Protein" for £7.20/Kg or they are far too expensive such as the "Sunwarrior Blend Raw Plant-Based Complete Protein Vanilla Powder 1Kg" for £31.98/Kg (although the Sunwarrior brand is the highest quality that money can buy and is likely to be far more beneficial health-wise, however it falls outside most peoples budgets (such as myself).

Negatives:
The only downside with this product is that it is not a complete protein source (does not contain the correct amino acid profile in the correct proportions).

I used this for quite a while and really liked the taste - savoury yet sweet. It actually tasted "wholesome" (unusual for a protein powder) and it was very good value. Then the product was changed (autumn 2013) and tasted awful - processed and cardboard-like. The only plus was that it mixed more easily with fewer lumps. Pulsin' had switched suppliers. It was still pure non-GM pea protein, extracted without chemicals. But the horrible taste made me switch to other brands (best of which was the Nutrisport vegan unflavoured but that one now also contains soya).
UPDATE (July 2014) Pulsin' got their original supplier back. Tastes a lot better, though the old problem with lumps has returned! Blend-ability best using cold liquids. Also I found that mixing with rice protein powder evened out the amino acid profile (and other reviewers seem to have done the same).

A better alternative to whey protein, in my opinion. Why? Well, I was looking for a protein powder to add to my smoothies and whey protein was recommended but all the whey protein powders on sale at either Holland & Barrett, or health foodstores have too many 'other' ingredients that I don't particularly care for. I wanted a pure protein powder. I first discovered the Pea Protein powder at Holland & Barrett but for the quantity and price it was way too expensive. I searched on Amazon and found the same brand selling at a much cheaper price and with more quantity. This protein powder is 100% pure pea protein and perfect for my use. I add a tablespoon to my smoothies and love it. It's a great way to get some good and healthy protein into my body. Love it and highly recommend.

I got this protein powder to give other types (other than whey protein - which has almost made me vomit because of the nasty flavours) a chance, also, yeah, I chose this because of it's lack of additional ingredients (no nasty flavours), I guess it's quite a pure thing. I've had this protein powder for the past six odd months and after having chugged it down or eaten it in various forms I thought now would be an okay time to write a review.

PROS:
-The amount you get for the money is absolutely fantastic - 1 kilo for less than £15 with free shipping - bargain!
-No artificial crap rammed into it - it's literally just plain pea protein, it doesn't even have any sweeteners, salt or anything.
-Completely vegetarian/vegan, though I'm personally not one myself this is a good factor for a good proportion of those buying this powder.
-Gluten free, again, not a problem for me but it is for others.
-Lactose free, pretty obvious it would be, considering it's made of damn peas and not cow juice.
-8 out of every 10 grams are protein, which is very decent.
-Perfect for savoury dishes, the best dish (and pretty much the only dish I actually bother with) is a pizza crust made with this powder - best (non) cheat meal I've ever had.
-You can substitute flour for this in most recipes - there is so much trial and error though, chocolate brownies work quite nicely.
-Cooks nicely.
-For those who use MyFitnessPal, MyFitnessPal scans this successfully and accurately, it has it on it's database. (MyFitnessPal is a calorie tracking app and website)

CONS:
-Tastes genuinely disgusting (imo) by itself, I first mixed a tablespoon of this with about a pint of water - completely unpalatable.
