As someone who has in the past suffered the frustration of trying to clean a conventional sandwich toaster the idea of removable plates that you can put in the dish washer was ideal. I had no intention of using the waffle maker or grill but after trying out a few waffle recipes from American websites the waffle machine is now a permanent member of Sunday breakfast!
and the grill opens out flat so you can use it like a 'george Foreman' type.
This is the second one of these that I have purchased, (the first one died in an incident with a breadboard!) And it is still the best kitchen appliance that I have ever bought.
