A welcome gift 2 Jan 2008
Format:Hardcover
Received this for Christmas and I have to say I'm very happy with it. I'm more of a film buff than a cook but this is a great idea, lots of tasty yet simple recipies to make for an evening of watching your favourite films. Tried a couple so far (the rabbit stew and spiced ale from The Lord of the Rings) and they were both delicious. Recommended.

This is such a good idea, I can't believe it hasn't been done before. It would make an excellent, fun addition to anyone's kitchen, and is also an absolute must for movie lovers. The author has just the right approach - the recipes are witty and delicious. Half are from films, such as Hannibal's liver and chianti, half are inspired by them. And inspired's the word with the things like frozen raspberry boobs from 'Some Like It Hot'. There's even one recipe from each of the 'Lord of the Rings' to keep you going through the whole trilogy (spiced shire ale's my favourite). I've just bought three more copies for friends.
