Product Description

Popularized in the 1960s by Pop artists such as Andy Warhol, screen printing remains a favorite of artists due to its remarkable versatility and relatively low cost. AMAZING! 23 Oct 2011
Format:Paperback
I. LOVE. THIS. BOOK.

It's just perfect for me! I love the size of it (though wouldn't complain if it was just a little bigger), the images inside are all amazing, a good range and fantastically presented. The colours are great and the quality of the original prints really shows though.

Very inspiring book, really does make you want to get your inks out and get your hands dirty! I think people that aren't even particularly interested in doing any actual printing would enjoy this book as it has such a great range of images and styles, and makes you want to find out their technique. Also very useful, near the front is a guide of how to set up your own screenprinting fun.

Most recommended.

Not your normal silk screen book 24 May 2011
By R. Lloyd - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
Mr. Perry has compiled a very strong cross section of screen prints reflecting a new look and feel where this generations's genre is heading.

Short on words, but long on visuals, Mr. Perry understands, that as designers, we want to see things, not read about them. His thoughtful approach to be inclusive to a variety of different styles, yet focusing on work that simply departs from the norm. His insight into the new and upcoming generation of post modernists pays big dividends to us, his audience.

In a way, this book is retro, departing from the thought that everything wonderful has to come out of a computer. Drawing, painting, and content become reintroduced in visual thought. Color, translucency, unregistered imagery are evident to the viewer to savored and sampled.

This is a great book! Michael Perry has demonstrated his ability as an editor/compiler measures up.

Pulled: A catalog of Screen Printing 10 Nov 2011

I can't find much to reccomend about this book. It's just a collection of printed images with minnimal info about their creation. All the work seems terribly outdated, I'll probably give the book away to the library free bin.

Yet another great book 19 May 2011
By Bvandeli - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
If you are looking for inspiration, there's a wide range of work from a number of talented printmaking artists/designers. Like the rest of his books it features work from people with a knack for tactile design. However, in this case the hand done aspect does not only apply to the design/illustration itself, but to the printing process too.
