Excellent reference

Anyone familiar with the Pugin books will know that they are meant to be reference guides to images (e.g. Pugin's Gothic Ornament), to be used for design work. This book is exactly what it says, a compendium of ecclesiastical ornament. It is not meant to be a how-to guide for construction or fabrics used in ecclesiastical garments.

This book was literally worthless compared to so many other books available in assisting in creating church vestments. It as a total waste of money. It lacks any information concerning materials or construction methods. If I had been able to view a few pages of the book I might have been forewarned as to its unsuitability.
