I indulge myself when I read the children poems I loved as a child myself. So splashing out on this Puffin anthology was the ideal route to finding out what the modern rythm of the playground sounds like. Zephaniah and Rosen we know from the fiction shelf. However, it is a treat to discover that they too are following in the tradition of memorable rhymes for kids. A good taster for us to discover as a family which new poets to ask for at Birthday time. We have marked out a bundle of new children's poem books for the next round of birthdays and thanks to fellow amazon reviewers for pointing us in the right direction. Our reviews will follow once the books have passed the car-chant test.
