Product Description

Review

'A first-rate textbook which should be a core part of any undergraduate public economics course. It is not intimidating and combines clear exposition and comprehensive coverage of the topics in a very readable style' (Dr Dieter Helm, Fellow in Economics, New College, Oxford )

'This book fills a genuine need by providing a joint introduction to Public Choice and Public Finance ... By integrating the discussion Cullis and Jones produce a much more useful textbook. Further, this integration makes certain inter-relations much clearer than they would be in the ordinary handling. Altogether, people interested in keeping students up to date on recent developments will find this a most useful aide.' (Professor Gordon Tullock, Karl Eller Professor of Political Science, The University of Arizona )

I found this book very useful in explaining key concepts in physical pharmacy - as a first year pharmacy student I struggled to find good literature on the topic outside of the staple huge physical chemistry textbooks / medicinal chemistry textbooks, this book was a great size and perfect for the job - very clear, concise and entry-level. Consequently I've made good use of it across many of my modules. Definitely will be keeping hold of this for the next year or two, at least.

Poor explanation, redundancy and bad editing make this book a pain to read. 21 Jan 2006

Poor explanation, redundancy, bad editing make this book a pain to read. The authors really don'tknow how to write a book. Each paragraph is extremely long that it is hard to identify what the main idea of each paragraph is.
