Most of the papers that comprise this volume were first published over a quarter of a century ago and describe the authors experience of and insights into her own psychoanalytical journey, especially with Donald Winnicott. It is rare for analysts to share accounts of their own personal analysis and illuminates the psychoanalytic views and developments of the period. This is an important classical text in the genre and seems to be undergoing a well deserved rediscovery.
I hope that someone has the courage to reprint it, before it becomes a mere rare book collectors item and consequently out of reach of those who actually need it!!
