Yet again Firman & Gila insightfully guide the reader into the realm of psychosynthesis.

They begin by placing the psychology in the context of the history & development of depth & spiritual psychotherapy. Next there is a clear and meaningful description of the terrain; the person, their psyche and connection to Self.

They provide an understandable explanation of the process by which an individual adapts to survive and how later if these adaptations no longer serve, a person may begin the process of consciously integrating their experience; developing a clearer sense of themselves and greater freedom to choose how to live their life in a way which is meaningful for them.

I would strongly recommend this book to anyone interested in learning and understanding more about psychosynthesis ~ a psychology which is truly a "Psychology of the Spirit".

I cannot recommend this book enough! In my lifetime I have read numerous books and theories about human development and consciousness. By far this has been the most insightful and helpful.

It saddens me to see so many people living painful lives, being at war with themselves and clearly uncomfortable with who they are. This book will help anyone with such problems or poor self-image to understand the multitudinous aspects of themselves. Understanding primal wounding, how and why we form sub-personalities and how to support and nurture these fragments of ourselves is in my opinion paramount to promoting mental well-being. Simply excellent and very helpful!

A very professional, up to date work. A needed further development of Roberto Assagioli's framework.
