In the first part of this book, dealing with Western religion, Jung attempts to shed light on such abstruse mysteries as the trinity, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost; and the symbolism of the catholic mass. The second part, on the East, contains Jung's foreword and commentary on the Bardo Thödol of Tibetan Buddhism, and of the I Ching of Confucianism. Over all this is one of the more interesting volumes of the Collected Works. It is a pity that it does not seem to be available in paperback at the present time, June 2009.
