I was recommended this book by my lecturer as part of my Psychology course. Unlike most psychology text books, I found it very readable and enjoyable, due to its effective use of examples and illustrations. I would recommend it to anybody who has an interest in how humans make decisions !

Since human judgment and decision making is a huge research and application area, it is very hard to find a comprehensive introduction as "The Psychology of Judgment of and Decision Making". Plous' book is both comprehensive and readable; the examples and the problems in relevant chapters of the book helps the reader easily understand what is the structure and function of decision making, and how one can improve his /her judgment. Suitable both for professionals and lay auidance.

The book is written with lot of research and is very interesting from beginning to end. All possible areas concerned with judgement and decision making are aptly covered. Readers survey in the start of book provides a useful and interesting excercise for the reader. Illustrations, diagrams and tables are helpful in understanding the narratives and examples.
