4.0 out of 5 stars Useful for A'level?, 24 Nov 2000
By A Customer
This book is very interesting and can be useful for a course textbook, or as extra background reading. It has lots of detail to help 'spice' up essays, as well as basic descriptions to give a general understanding. However, I should mention that the chapters and sections are not laid out in the same chapters etc of most A'level syllabus' and so it is probably not the ebst book for quick reference. Overall though, I'd say its a good introduction to Psychology for any level of student.

4.0 out of 5 stars Really useful, 21 Mar 2000
By Russel AYLING (London) - See all my reviews

I first bought this book as a companion to my A Level. At the time, it had everything I needed - it doesn't cover any statistics though. It covers all other aspects of introductory psychology clearly, with plenty of key studies evaluated professionally. However, some of the material is now a little dated, but this does makes little difference at an introductory level. I still dip into this 'old friend' in the 2nd year of my degree, and would rate it far superior to most other introductory texts.
