I am a first-year A-Level Psychology student. My college is following the AEB syllabus, and seeing as Mike Cardwell is the Chief Examiner, my teacher recommended this book as a useful study aid. All the chapters I have read are extremely well-written and clearly explain even the most complex aspects of Psychology. The material we cover in class can easily be supported by information from the text, and there are adequate examples and case studies. Section summaries and chapter summaries are provided, encompassing the main points - very useful for revision. Essay questions also help in this area, and references are given for further reading. However, some of the paragraphs tend to be a tiny bit waffly - not as concise as they could be. Plus, the book is too heavy and bulky. I think it would prove invaluable in attaining a top grade though.
