Doesn't Quite Work 27 Feb 2001
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
This includes the original tapes Pete made for inclusion on 'Who's Next'. It's another 'concept' piece by Towshend, but to be honest it doesn't really work...the story is not strong enough.

Sorry Pete, but this is almost as weak as 'Iron Man'. Sorry.

Interesting 18 Nov 2009
By Dutchy
Format:Audio CD
There is no doubt that Who and Townshend fans need this in their collection. It is a heavily conceptual piece with quite a bit of dialogue going on as well as the elaborate soundscape. There are some great musical moments. For those who prefer an album of songs without physical or narrative links this might not be their absolute cup of tea, but I believe any fans of Townshend's work from the earliest Who material to his latest solo work will be very pleased to add this ambitious work to their collection.

Anybody who is familiar with Petes "lifehouse" project that gave birth to the album "Whos next" will be able to relate to the themes running through this masterpiece. Others might find it hard to understand. This is an album that has to be listened to many times to be fully appreciated.
