The low price tag and short run time should set a few alarm bells going - this is small-budget manga that makes frequent use of moody stills to reduce the animators' work, and whose length is far too short to imbue the characters with anything more than the minimal personality. The dialogue (at least in the English translation) is similarly flat. On the plus side, there is an awful lot of plot in the 50 minutes run time, including time travel and the obligatory battles against oversized enemy fiends. A nice touch is the constant use of interlacing consecutive scenes over each other, which neatly mimics the plot's forward-and-back time travel motif. Still, even for this low price it's difficult to recommend to all except the most hardened manga collector.
